Are you ready for a thrilling journey to the moon? 🌕✨ On 20th July, our online workshop transported kids aged 7 and above to the wonders of space, celebrating Moon Day with a fantastic blend of fun and learning! 🚀 Here’s a glimpse of what our little space explorers experienced.
What Was the Workshop About?
Hosted by Ducks n Sharks, this exciting STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) workshop was all about diving into the mysteries of the moon. We explored fascinating science facts, got our hands messy with experiments, and even built cool moon-themed crafts!
But wait—what exactly did we do? Let me take you on a virtual tour!
The Moon Magic Unfolded:
🌙 How to See Moon Phases: We discovered how the moon changes its shape every night, from the bright full moon to the dark new moon! Using a fun fold-out craft, each child made their very own moon phase chart to track the moon from their window.
🌑 How the Moon Gets Its Craters: Did you know the moon has deep holes called craters? In our workshop, we recreated them by dropping small objects (like pebbles) into soft materials, just like how meteors create craters when they hit the moon!
🎯 How to Make a Straw Rocket: For the grand finale, we made our own rockets! Using simple materials like straws and paper, we launched them across the room, imagining them soaring all the way to space.

Our moon phases foldout was a favorite among the kids. This craft allowed them to interact with the changing shapes of the moon, all while understanding how it works in space. Plus, everyone got exclusive downloadable materials to continue their space journey after the workshop!
